Dark Motives is set in New York, New York and the surrounding areas and is based on CBS's Crime Drama/Police Procedural CSI: New York. Focused mainly in the nighttime hours in the City, Dark Motives offers many ways to be involved in the action, from being an officer of the law to your every-day shopper.

Dark Motives uses a face-claim system which operates mostly on a first come, first serve basis. Once a face is "claimed" it is taken and not open for use.

You are in control of your character's fate. Is your character a lawyer with a big mouth? A criminal that constantly brushes up against the NYPD but somehow manages to get away? A CSI in the lab hunting down killers? It's up to you!
